EEVEE Realistic Lighting And Rendering

4 ratings

Produce stunningly realistic lighting right up there with Cycles and other path-tracing engines in Blender 5.x - at a fraction of the render time.

Introducing: a premium 7+hour video course for artists who want to master realistic EEVEE Lighting and RenderingĀ to create astounding environment art, arch vis, characters or animations in EEVEE without waiting hours for renders.Ā

šŸ”„Ā Early Bird Discount - 20% off for 7 days only (ends on the 22nd of December).

Does EEVEE Beat Cycles?

Is it as good as Cycles in every scenario? Of course not.

For complex nature shots with millions of polygons, huge, sprawling terrains, complex light physics - that’s still Cycles’ home turf.

But with the right artistic and technical know-how? The results can be pretty darn close.

In fact, in areas where Cycles traditionally struggles - like interior bounced light, or fast volume rendering? A well-tuned EEVEE setup can actually outperform pure path-tracing.

Over the years, it become a realistic rendering beast you probably never thought it could be. And you've probably missed it.

Watch the EEVEE Tech Demo we put together - based on the research material from this course.

Powerful Visuals - Without the Render Wait

This course is built on one idea: launch Blender, switch to Rendered Mode, and work with feedback that already looks finished. It's about creating stunning environments, characters, and animations without the render wait.

Extras

And that’s not all. In Extras, you’ll get access to a growing library of shorter videos from our YouTube channel - bundled and organized for you, with more being added over time.Ā

This includes topics like advanced translucency, creature lighting breakdowns, motion blur hacks, and more.

See Like an Artist

This course isn't just about which buttons to press. It's about training your eye to see why one image feels alive... and another feels dead.

We break down the why behind every creative choice - the core principles of light and composition that work in any software, in any style.

Because tools change. But these fundamentals? They stay with you forever. And even AI won't take that from you.

The Community & Support

And you won't be learning alone. As a student, you get direct access to our Creative Shrimp Discord - a place to get help, share your work, and connect with artists on the same journey.

We’re there with you.

Requirements

All you need is Blender 5.0 or newer. No add-ons, no extra cost.Ā Ā

If you know the basics - what EEVEE and Cycles are - you're ready. We include project files, and we start with the fundamentals before diving deep.

What Artists Say

"I’ve always felt that EEVEE is a bit of a dark horse in rendering. It’s insanely powerful when mastered, but it requires a very particular way of thinking and a solid understanding of its limitations - an approach that proved essential in the production of Flow. There’s honestly no one better than Gleb Alexandrov to guide you through that process. His tutorial series goes far beyond surface-level tips, teaching the logic behind EEVEE so you can work with the renderer instead of against it."

ā€œAs a lifelong Cycles user, this course made me interested in Eevee for the first time. The dexterity with which Gleb wields Eevee was astounding. Dope coursešŸ‘!ā€

Ā  Ā Ā Samuel Krug,Ā Technical Environment Artist

—

"This course truly opened my eyes to the power of Eevee. Coming from a real-time background, I always struggled to wrap my head around Cycles, but this course completely reshaped how I look at Blender and showed me just how much is achievable with Eevee."

Ā  Ā  Ā Sebastian Mattukat,Ā Senior Cinematic Artist

—

"Fast, hands-on, and beautiful - that’s how I've always thought about EEVEE. But Gleb’s course takes EEVEE lighting and rendering tutorials to a whole new level."

"I know it's bad taste to write testimonials for your own course. BUT! Hear me out. I'm a shill to no one - once we started getting the first results during the research (preproduction etc) for this course, I had to re-evaluate all my intuitionsĀ about what EEVEE can do, and not once or twice. Because just a few years ago (in 2019) EEVEE was glitchy as hell and not nearly as capable. I think the tech demo we posted on YouTube proves a few points. I was, like: oO huh, let's make a course now. "

Gleb Alexandrov, yeah it's me 🦐

—

"EEVEE always seemed limited to me, and never in my life I thought it's capable of such realistic stuff. This course is some sort of sorcery. When I started watching the Elevator shaft, I knew it's gonna be a masterpiece. Be warned, people: it can change how you see EEVEE and Blender rendering."

"A must watch course on EEVEE, if you are a CYCLES person like me, this will certainly make you wanna switch! Super tips and tricks šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼šŸ”„"

F.A.Q.:

  • Q: What is Vulkan?
A:Ā A new rendering backend for Blender (an alternative to OpenGL), making EEVEE among other things significantly faster.
  • Q: Can I still use this course if I'm on an Apple computer?
A: Yes! When a user on a Windows/Linux PC renders with Eevee, they are using the Vulkan backend. When a user on an iMac/MacBook renders with Eevee, they are using the Metal backend. Both are low-level, high-performance replacements for the old OpenGL, achieving a similar goal through different technology.Ā
  • Q: Why even use EEVEE for realistic lighting? Especially when we have Cycles!
A: If you want realtime or near-realtime feedback - and to a lesser extent, the specific EEVEE GI customization features (or realtime multi-pass compositing etc), then EEVEE becomes an attractive option. Imagine sketching out a game environment and exploring similarly to how it'd feel in game. Or rendering a long archvis animation 10 times faster (with baked light probes).
  • Q: Which version of Blender should I use?
A: Much of the videos are recorded using Blender 5.0, some - 4.5. All of the blender files have been saved in 5.0. We recommend using the latest version of Blender.
  • Q: Should I use any video player in particular?
A: Everything has been tested using VLC (free, awesome, open source and available on all platforms), so while everything should play fine on all players, if in doubt give this awesome free player a try.... https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
  • Q: I just started learning Blender, will I be able to do this?
A: We would recommend having at least some basic understanding of Blender before enrolling in the course.
  • Q: What computer specs do I need to be able to follow along this course?
A:Ā If in any doubt check out Blender’s own recommended minimum specs here: https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/
  • Q: Can I have a refund?
A: Sure. We’re happy to report that Superhive/Blender Market has a 30 day money back guarantee. Just shoot an email to support@superhivemarket.com and ask for a refund.
